My sister and I travel to Hendricks twice a year to visit our mother in the nursing home. During our last visit we stayed at the Turret House, a B&B that combines gracious living with a friendly, small-town spirit.

The Victorian atmosphere transported us back to an era of elegance and relaxing leisure. The hosts, Joy and John Thompson, provided delicious breakfasts (along with a variety of snacks) and entertaining conversation—yet allowed us our space and privacy.

Being so close to the nursing home made it possible for us to return for periodic breaks during the day, which we greatly appreciated. Although we enjoyed the grandeur of days-gone-by, it was nice to have phone and TV service available, too.

We have also stayed at the Triple L B&B located about three miles outside of Hendricks and owned by Joan and Lanford Larson. This B&B equally served us well and offers a cozy, pastoral ambiance. So whether we feel like city mice or country mice, it’s nice to know that Hendricks has a place for us to stay!
