Norwegian egg coffee

Nothing excites our town like the smell of fresh brewed Norwegian Egg Coffee. Forgotten since the 1930s, this local favorite has recently been resurrected and is now served at some of our finest social gatherings. After one taste, you'll be drinking your weight in eggs and coffee.

As you may know, Starbucks has repeatedly tried to steal this recipe from our town. But everyone has vigilantly kept this recipe a secret. But for you, our loyal website visitors, we divulge the secret of this culinary delight. For your convenience, we give you the family size and Lutheran Church size recipes.

Norwegian egg coffee (family size)
10 cups water
1/2 cup This is Most Certainly Brew Coffee grounds
1 egg
1/4 cup water

Directions
Bring 10 cups of water in a kettle to a boil on the stovetop. Combine coffee grounds, egg and 1/4 cup water in a bowl. Add egg/coffee mixture to the boiled water. Boil 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of cold water. (This will settle the coffee grounds to the bottom of the kettle) Serve hot.

Norwegian egg coffee (Lutheran church size)
7.5 gallons of water (120 cups of water)
6 cups of coffee grounds
12 eggs
3 cups of water

Directions
Bring 7.5 gallons of water in a kettle to a boil on the stovetop. Combine coffee grounds, eggs and 3 cups of water in a bowl. Add egg/coffee mixture to the boiled water. Boil 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add 12 cup of cold water to settle the coffee grounds to the bottom of the kettle. Serve hot.
